AirWeather

AirWeather never shows you old weather without telling you: every METAR, TAF, and NOTAM is time-validated against the official source (NOAA / Aviation Weather Center) before it reaches your screen. Anything that can't be verified is rejected rather than shown, and anything older than 75 minutes is flagged EXPIRED. Go offline and you still get your last data — clearly marked as stale.

6,700+ METAR-reporting stations worldwide, raw or fully decoded down to remarks, RVR, and trends. Flight rules (VFR, MVFR, IFR, LIFR) are colour-coded at a glance, and your whole route shows go / no-go with a 2/4/6-hour outlook for every airport. On top of that: NOTAMs, D-ATIS, runways with a best-runway suggestion, frequencies, and weather trend charts that continue into the TAF forecast.

The essential pre-flight tools are built in: an E6B flight computer pre-filled from the airport's live weather, density altitude and freezing level, daylight and twilight times, and nearest-airport lookup by GPS. The weather map shows live winds and colour-coded aerodrome symbols.

AirWeather doesn't stop at your phone: the Apple Watch companion app puts your favourites with flight rules and outlook on your wrist, including watch-face complications. Home screen widgets for iOS and Android (small, medium, and large) fetch the newest weather straight to your home screen.

AirWeather Pro adds personal weather minimums with your own caution and warning thresholds for wind, gusts, visibility, ceiling, and density altitude, decoded SIGMETs and AIRMETs as a nearby list and on the map, and unlimited favourites — as a one-time purchase or a low monthly. The core stays free with no account: your location is processed on-device only, and weather data is requested by ICAO code — never by your coordinates.

AirWeather is built and flown by a private helicopter pilot in the Swiss Alps — every feature comes from real mountain flying. AirWeather does not replace an official briefing: always use the prescribed official sources for flight preparation.
