Frequently asked questions
- The app doesn't find airports near me.
- Check that location permission is granted (system settings → AirWeather → Location, "While Using the App"). Location access is optional — you can also search for airports manually by name or ICAO code.
- Where do the weather and NOTAM data come from?
- METAR, TAF, and SIGMET come directly from NOAA / Aviation Weather Center, NOTAMs from the official FAA API, and airport data from the OurAirports database. See the privacy policy for details.
- No METAR/TAF is shown for an airport.
- Not every airport publishes METAR or TAF — smaller fields often have no weather report of their own. In that case, check a nearby larger airport.
- How do I restore my purchase or subscription?
- Purchases are tied to your app store account. Open Settings in AirWeather and tap "Restore purchases". Make sure you are signed in with the same Apple or Google account you used for the purchase.
- How do I delete my data?
- AirWeather has no account — favorites and settings live only on your device and are removed when you delete the app.
- Can I use AirWeather for flight preparation?
- AirWeather is an information tool and does not replace an official briefing. Always use the prescribed official sources for flight preparation.
