Most trackers count four numbers: calories, protein, fat, carbs. Yolo scores 34 — adding vitamins, minerals, omega-3 fatty acids, fibre and glycemic load — each against reference values tailored to age, sex, weight and activity. The result is one score from 0 to 100 that shows at a glance whether the day is on track and what is pulling it down.
Logging works by photo, barcode or search. For photos, AI recognises foods and portions; with AR the app measures the plate and estimates amounts from it — no kitchen scale needed. The core database comes from the official, lab-analysed food composition databases of the Swiss FSVO and the Swedish Livsmedelsverket, not from crowd-sourced entries.
Targets adapt: balanced, keto or high protein, and with Autopilot the daily calorie target follows what the watch actually measured as burned. Suggestions and what-if analysis show how a food changes the score before you eat it.
Workouts, sleep, heart rate, HRV and weight flow in from Apple Health and Health Connect; the score and calories left appear on Apple Watch, Wear OS and the home-screen widget. On top come water tracking with sweat loss from workouts, 28-day health reports and self-experiments. Data is stored in Switzerland (Google Cloud Zurich) and never sold.
